Position Summary:
We are searching for a detail-oriented, dependable technician to join our growing team. The technician’s responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. You should collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible.
To be successful as a technician, you should demonstrate strong self-discipline and a passion for technology. Oustanding technicians possess sound knowledge of their trade and superb active listening skills.you should also have knowledge in turning irrigation systems on and off as designated, operating timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers. You may assist in various maintenance activities as required. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Responsibilities:
Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot systems and equipment.
Ensure timers on irrigation systems are adjusted including making wiring and other repairs on timing mechanisms; assists with the programming of irrigation schedules and run times to obtain maximum water efficiency.
Run tests and interpret results to make effective recommendations.
Write up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.
Perform annual irrigation inspection/audits of systems.
Source replacement parts.
Repair or replace faulty equipment.
Respond to and perform after-hours calls for service and emergency repair; work various shifts, as required, to provide necessary coverage, including responding to irrigation-related items requiring immediate attention outside of regular hours.
Qualifications: (including but not limited to)
English or Spanish. Bi-lingual is a plus!
A relevant degree, certification, or license may be required.
Experience as a technician.
A valid driver’s license.
Possess a working knowledge of pumping stations and large commercial or municipal irrigation systems.
Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
